The accident occurred at 14.26 on Sandbäcksgatan in central Karlstad and according to SOS Alarm it was a "real bang" between the car and the moped.
One person is injured and the ambulance helicopter has landed at the scene.
The road will be closed for a long time while the rescue work is in progress.
