Yesterday, the main station of the Ajman Transport Authority witnessed the launch of the first Hajj trips in cooperation between the Transport Authority in the emirate and the Saudi Transport Company "SAPTCO", for the first time in the Emirate of Ajman.

The first Hajj campaign included a Russian regiment that arrived by air to the Emirates, then continued its journey by land from the bus station in Ajman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the framework of the facilities that the Ajman Transport Authority sought to provide within its main station.

The Executive Director of the Commercial Services Corporation at the Ajman Transport Authority, Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi, said that the Transport Authority has established its main station to be a place for international land transport, and it contains the first office outside Dubai for Emirates Airlines, and the second office for Emirates Airlines in terms of the number of services.

Al-Matrooshi added to "Emirates Today": "We facilitate land and air transportation procedures inside the station. We have limousine services for transportation to the airport, in addition to Emirates Airlines services, and land transport lines to neighboring countries, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Jordan, so that the station includes offices for companies that operate weekly flights. ".

He continued, "We announce services to passengers for those who wish to travel by land, and we are also coordinating with Emirates Airlines to finalize procedures for air travelers from the station's headquarters before heading to the airport," stressing that the station is the first of its kind for international passenger transport in the UAE.

He pointed out that travelers book tickets online from the company, and the authority's role is to facilitate the pilgrims by providing the most comfortable place for them, pointing out that the first group comes from Russia and moves in 50 buses with a total of 200 passengers.

He pointed out that the total number of groups traveling by land to perform the Hajj is 7,000 passengers on 400 buses, noting that it is the first time that Hajj flights have departed from Ajman.

He continued, that the traveling group will move to Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Land Transport Company, which will facilitate border procedures and permits for them.

Al-Matrooshi said: "We are trying hard to support and encourage public transport, and we also call for investment in it in order to facilitate passengers and provide them with the best service," stressing that international road transport prefers to be from one place to organize the issue in the largest possible way, which is what we have done.

He stated that after the establishment of the station dedicated to land transport, it became a destination for those wishing to travel by land between the Emirates and neighboring countries, and since many countries use the Emirates as a crossing to the Holy Land, the importance of the station has emerged as a link between travelers arriving by air and departing to the Holy Land by land.
