A 20-year-old young man was arrested Monday in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) after a chase with the police.

This professional footballer playing at Olympique Lyonnais refused a check from the Rennes CRS positioned in the city center, reports

He took a bus lane before hitting street furniture.

After a short chase with CRS bikers, the driver was apprehended.

His vehicle was damaged but the young man was not injured.

Summoned to court in January 2023

The footballer was no longer allowed to drive, his license having been suspended after excessive speeding.

He was not placed in police custody and was heard in free hearing at the police station, told France Bleu the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc Nicolas Heitz.

He will appear on January 16, 2023 on prior admission of guilt for refusing to comply, driving without a license and lack of insurance.
