The 40-year-old was armed with a small caliber weapon and said he intended to commit suicide.
"He was determined," said a source familiar with the matter to our colleagues.
The family managed to leave safe and sound at the start of the intervention.
Around 7:50 p.m., the man agreed to surrender to the police.
He was immediately examined by a doctor.
