His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, honored the engineering consultancy and construction contracting offices operating and the most beautiful buildings in the Emirate of Ajman that deserve stars according to the international classification system, during the second forum organized by the department in the presence of entities working in the architecture and construction sector.
The forum was attended by Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, directors of the department, and representatives of engineering consultancy and contracting companies.
His Highness stressed that the star rating system was based on clear criteria and specific regulations to keep pace with the size of projects and to achieve the indicators of the national agenda, indicating that the department believes in the importance of developing the building and construction system in the Emirate of Ajman to raise the added value in the urban sector.
His Highness added that we have worked during the last period to promote positive competition between 64 engineering consultancy offices and 339 building contracting companies, to achieve the best and develop services provided to citizens with a focus on high quality.
His Highness said that the stars are worthy of the engineering consultancy companies and contracting offices that have distinguished their work and adhered to regulations and standards. They also intensified efforts and made every effort to harmonize with the visions of the wise leadership and advance the Emirate in the field of construction and architecture, explaining that we were keen to encourage everyone who contributed to spreading urban beauty and for him we honored the most beautiful Buildings in Ajman.
In turn, the Director of Buildings Department, Engineer Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, explained that the department has launched a classification program for consulting offices and contracting companies, adopting clear standards for quality control and upgrading the emirate's integrated system, keeping pace with the present and moving towards the future.
Al Falasi continued, that the department launched several initiatives, including the Most Beautiful Building Initiative, where we formed a specialized committee in the management of buildings, consisting of specialized engineers from the Building Permits Department and the Engineering Supervision and Control Department, to adopt the standards of the most beautiful building, which includes attention to the human dimension in providing appropriate spaces, ease of movement and ventilation paths. And the use of modern systems in design in addition to visual coordination.
During the honoring ceremony, a dialogue was opened with offices working in the field of architecture and construction, to take their views and suggestions, and to respond to their inquiries seeking improvement.
