Lee Yang-hee, chairman of the People's Strength Ethics Committee, held a briefing shortly after finishing internal discussions with the Ethics Committee regarding the alleged sexual abuse and destruction of evidence by Lee Jun-seok, the representative of People's Strength.

Chairman Lee announced that he would initiate disciplinary procedures against Kim Cheol-geun, chief of the political affairs office, Lee Jun-seok.

He saw that there were circumstances in which he violated the maintenance of dignity as a party member in relation to the allegation of destruction of evidence.

It seems that he decided that the allegation that Lee had tried to destroy evidence on the allegation of sexual assault by sending Kim Jong-un to be true to some extent could be true.

The ethics committee said that it would decide whether to take disciplinary action against CEO Lee Jun-seok after hearing his vocation by reopening the ethics committee on the 7th of next month.

Previously, Chairman Lee emphasized that yesterday (22nd) that CEO Lee did not appear in person at the Ethics Committee, "we will give everyone a sufficient opportunity to explain."

At 8:30 pm yesterday evening, the Ethics Committee called Kim Cheol-geun, head of the political affairs office of the party representative, Kim Cheol-geun, who was close to Lee, and listened to the call for over an hour.

Regarding the allegation that he had tried to destroy evidence by meeting with the person who raised the allegation of sexual abuse at the direction of CEO Lee, Kim is known to have asserted that "we met to confirm the facts, and there was no instruction from Lee."

Regarding the results of the Ethics Committee's investigation, CEO Lee Jun-seok said, "What will change in two weeks?" and "I am curious as to why the Ethics Committee process is taking so long as it does not help the party at all to settle the confusion."
