An investigation for intentional homicide was opened after the discovery of the bodies of two sixties in a house in Blangy-sur-Bresle (Seine-Maritime).

The track of a homicide followed by a suicide being privileged, indicated this Tuesday the prosecutor of Dieppe.

“The gendarmerie services were alerted yesterday morning (Monday) by a relative of the couple to the discovery of two bodies in a house in Blangy-sur-Bresle”, declared Etienne Thieffry, public prosecutor of Dieppe.

An incurable disease as motive?

“An investigation of flagrance of the count of intentional homicide was opened.

The first elements of the investigation suggest that the 69-year-old man shot the 68-year-old woman before turning the gun on himself,” he added, adding that the investigators “ were trying to find the motive.

The two people had no criminal record, particularly in terms of domestic violence, and each had their own accommodation.

The bodies were found at the man's home.

According to Paris Normandie, who revealed the information, he suffered from leukemia.

The prosecutor was unable to confirm this information.
