A 16-year-old young man died on Saturday at Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (Puy-de-Dôme), after drowning on June 12.

, the teenager had been rescued at Lake Aydat by firefighters and a medical team from Smur.

He had been extracted from the water, resuscitated, then transferred by helicopter to the hospital.

An unaccompanied minor

The victim was with other young people, as part of an outing organized by the departmental system for the reception, evaluation and orientation of unaccompanied minors.

He would have fallen into the water and sunk.

According to our colleagues, the teenager was of Ivorian origin.

He had been entrusted to the Childhood Social Aid (ASE), having no family in France.

The Clermont-Ferrand prosecutor's office requested an autopsy of the body to determine the exact causes of death.
