In the appeal, the legislator noted that in accordance with the First Car and Family Car lending programs, citizens who have at least one minor dependent or who purchase a personal vehicle for the first time can count on receiving state subsidies.

For residents of the Far East, the amount of the subsidy is 25% of the cost of a new car, 10% for other regions.

At the same time, one of the conditions for receiving a subsidy is that the cost of the purchased car is no more than 1.5 million rubles.

At the same time, the deputy added that, taking into account the current situation in the car market, including due to a sharp increase in prices, many buyers of even low-budget vehicles today cannot comply with this condition.

“In this regard, I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of changing the conditions for providing subsidies for the purchase of a vehicle under the above programs, namely, to increase the cost of vehicles subject to subsidies from 1.5 million to 3 million rubles,” the text of the appeal says.

This change will allow citizens to purchase cars with state support that have higher levels of comfort and safety, which is important for families with children, the parliamentarian noted.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced an increase in the minimum “luxury tax” for cars from 3 million to 10 million rubles this year.
