Russia has evacuated two million people from the battle zones in Ukraine

The head of the National Defense Monitoring Center in Russia, Mikhail Mezintsev, announced that the Russian forces have evacuated more than two million people from the dangerous areas of clashes in Ukraine and the Donbass republics.

Mizintsev noted that during the past day, without Kyiv's participation, 21,947 people, including 3,826 children, were evacuated to Russia from dangerous areas in Ukraine and the Donbass republics.

He said, "The total number of evacuees since the beginning of the military operation has reached 20002.773, including 318,144 children."

He added that the Russian side has secured more than 9,500 shelters for Ukrainian refugees in Russia, providing them with health and psychological care, providing them with financial aid, and offering them vacant job opportunities.
