According to this survey for Paris Match and Sud Radio carried out just before the second round of the legislative elections, 41% of those questioned now approve of Ms. Borne's action, compared to 48% when she arrived in mid-May.

The French are particularly questioning its ability to reform the country (41%, -8 points) and its proximity to their concerns (36%, -3 pts).

The future of Ms. Borne is uncertain after the loss of the absolute majority in the Assembly.

She submitted her resignation on Tuesday to Emmanuel Macron, who refused it.

The Head of State is also down, with 41% positive opinions, and the strongest questions about his ability to carry out the promised reforms (45%, -3 pts).

The study also notes that the RN, which made a surprise breakthrough in the second round of legislative elections on Sunday, best embodies the opposition to Emmanuel Macron (35% of those questioned), just ahead of rebellious France (32%).

This survey was carried out according to the quota method from June 16 to 17, with a sample of 1,505 French people questioned by internet and representative of the French population, aged 18 and over.

The margin of error is between 1.4 and 3.1.
