- On the first of July, the responsibility for food and accommodation will most likely be transferred to the municipalities.

This means that we then get responsibility for the number of people we get distributed to Norrköping municipality, which today is 334 people.

Right now we are preparing for it and looking at different housing alternatives, says Maria Torgersen, operations manager at the social services in Norrköping municipality.

Provided accommodation on your own

According to the Swedish Migration Agency, there are currently around 400 registered Ukrainian refugees in the municipality.

Most have provided accommodation on their own.

- They have been very generous, both to us and to those who have come here.

People have wanted to help and support everything they can.

Many have offered their vacant rooms or other options.

Then there are many who have found accommodation with family and friends as well, says Maria Torgersen.
