Six political leaders will be received successively today by Emmanuel Macron to seek "possible constructive solutions", according to the formula of the Élysée: Christian Jacob (Les Républicains) opens the ball at 10 a.m., before Olivier Faure (Socialist Party) at 11 a.m., François Bayrou (Democratic Movement) at 2 p.m., Stanislas Guerini (Renaissance) at 3 p.m., Marine Le Pen (National Rally, RN) at 5.30 p.m. and Fabien Roussel (Communist Party) at 6.30 p.m.

The parade will continue on Wednesday with the leader of the Europe Écologie-Les Verts party, Julien Bayou, the number two of La France insoumise (LFI), Adrien Quatennens, and the president of the LFI group in the National Assembly, Mathilde Panot.

Adrien Quatennens and several other LFI officials have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, who will not be present at meetings with political parties.

RN acting president Jordan Bardella said she had to "give up her apron".
