At 00.20 on the night of 17 October 2017, the entrance to the police station in Helsingborg was blown up.

The explosion was heard in several adjacent districts in Helsingborg and caused major material damage to the police station.

A total of 120 people were in or near the explosion, but no one was injured.

In April this year, just over four years and a half years after the explosion, three men were charged with gross public destruction and gross violation of the law on flammable and explosive goods.

Already in prison

It is a 23-year-old, a 26-year-old and a 32-year-old who all have strong connections to Helsingborg's criminal world and make a living from drug trafficking.

Two of them are already serving long prison sentences, the third has been in custody since January this year.

The 32-year-old has, according to the indictment, hours before the blast, packed the freezer bag that can be seen on the police surveillance films - with a total of eight kilos of explosives - in the green area Jordbodalen.

He will then drive the pre-packed freezer bag through a residential area to Bruce's forest with his motorcycle.

There, the 26-year-old and the 23-year-old are said to have waited and then taken to the police station on a motorcycle where the 26-year-old is said to have detonated the bomb.

The Triumph Card: Abandoned gang member

According to the prosecutor, who did not want to be interviewed, there is technical evidence in the form of a jacket with the same explosive components as at the police station.

A scooter with the same substances was also found in one of the suspects' storerooms.

Another important piece of evidence is a witness - a defector who identified his former gang members.

Among other things, he has told that he was present when the 32-year-old completed the bomb and when it was handed over to the other men.

On Tuesday, the Helsingborg District Court's judgment will come in the case.

The men deny the allegations.
