The case concerns a large store in Djibouti ten years ago, and according to the indictment, the four have saved a contract for 3G telephony worth SEK 200 million through a bribe of almost SEK 20 million.

According to the court, the prosecutor has not succeeded in proving that two of the three recipients are part of a circle of bribe persons.

In the case of the third alleged recipient, the prosecutor has failed to show that bribes were actually given to the person and denies the evidence.

"This is because it has not been shown that they have had any employment or any assignment in which they have been able to influence Ericsson's opportunities to obtain the contract with Djibouti Telecom," writes Solna District Court.

All four involved deny the crime.

All are now acquitted of charges of gross bribery.

Ericsson has previously been involved in bribery scandals.

Among other things, SVT's Assignment review has revealed that Ericsson negotiated through intermediaries with IS.

In 2019, Ericsson was also forced to pay the equivalent of SEK 10 billion in fines in the US for bribery, including in Djibouti and in China.
