The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense stressed the importance of checking the gas delivery pipes, not leaving gas cylinders exposed to direct sunlight, and placing the cylinder outside the kitchen to provide adequate natural ventilation.

The authority launched the “Your Protection is Our Goal” campaign to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining the requirements of prevention and safety, the causes of fires, and the strengthening of precautionary measures to avoid their risks.

The campaign includes spreading preventive awareness through the authority’s platforms, strategic partners for social media and various media to enhance prevention and safety requirements for the community.

The authority urged the necessity of societal participation and cooperation in enhancing prevention and adhering to the guidelines to enhance the levels of protection for housing and various establishments, and called on home and shop owners to adopt connections, electrical appliances and wires of high quality and efficiency.

And she warned of the dangers of vehicle fires in the summer and the need to maintain the vehicle in general, check the engine cooling system, and close the fuel tank cover tightly, to prevent leakage and avoid the risk of ignition, and to ensure that no flammable materials were left in the vehicle and to keep a fire extinguisher and a first aid bag permanently in the vehicle.

The authority also launched a summer awareness campaign to reduce accidents at sea berths, in cooperation and partnership with Abu Dhabi Maritime, with the aim of introducing risks, ways to deal with them and how to evacuate berths, for workers and operators, and to provide advice and instructions on safety, in addition to clarifying the types of fire extinguishers and ways to use them.

The Director-General of the authority, Brigadier General Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Amri, confirmed that the joint campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of taking the necessary safety measures and measures and disseminating them to workers, marina operators, owners of yachts and boats, and the authority's response teams.

The campaign includes publishing visual materials on social media platforms and the media about the guidelines for the use of firefighting equipment in the marinas for practical training in dealing with a fire accident at the Emirates Palace Marina and Saadiyat Marina.

It includes educational visual materials on simulating the process of using a fire extinguisher in a marine buoy, and awareness of prevention and public safety requirements.
