• This Tuesday, the Fête de la Musique is making its big comeback in Marseille.

  • On occasion, "20 Minutes" offers you its selection of good deals, to take advantage of this unique evening.

The music festival will make its big comeback this Tuesday in La Plaine, where it was banned last year, but also everywhere in town.

As every June 21 or almost for forty years, place on this summer day for amateur musicians and varied styles.

Although the city of Marseille does not organize a special stage for the occasion, several events are offered in municipal facilities, such as the Alcazar (jazz concert at 6.30 p.m.) and the Marseille history museum (romantic music at 7 p.m. hours).

All the concerts we have selected below are free.

Deep So Man at the Citadel of Marseille.

From 11 am, we warm up in the superb site of Fort d'Entrecasteaux, with this band at the crossroads of funk, ska and jazz.

In the process, another proposal from the Five Continents Jazz Festival: the exploration of the immense work of Mile Davis by jazzman Nicolas Folmer who has surrounded himself with a high-level quintet.

Evening Freestyle Cup beach Borély

For the music festival, Fun Radio Live takes up residence at the Freestyle Cup for an evening that will see the Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve, but also Topic, Lum!

X, Europa (Jax Jones and Martin Solveig) and The Avener.

Indian Ocean Women's Choirs

The 18th edition of the Africa Fête festival opens with the music festival.

And for this first evening, it's a beautiful emerging exclusively female line-up that is on offer.

The “Ker Maloya” choir takes us in the heart of Reunion, to discover the Maloya song which initially celebrates the ancestors, and has mixed new sounds by transmitting itself from generation to generation.

It is lively, popular and festive music.

The Fabulous Divas

A stone's throw from La Canebière awaits you at the Fabulerie a 100 % female and Hispano-Latin evening, for a Marseille Latina.

On the menu: bodily and rhythmic initiation to various Afro-Caribbean dances, then from 9 p.m. DJ set by the Divas Del Perreo, a collective of female DJs of Latin, Afro-Caribbean and urban dance music.

All accompanied by Colombian specialties prepared by La Valluna, who will also be present at La Plaine alongside the cumbia group La Singular Tropique, for a musical cocktail that is "very spicy and caliente" (from 7 p.m.).

Mezzotino at the Italian Cultural Institute

The Italians of Marseilles know the path of the cultural institute well, which is used to beautiful evenings for the music festival.

This year, this vocal group from Puglia is on the program, which mixes humor and a cappella music.

With their five voices, they cover different musical styles.
