“Faced with such an aggressive program of job cuts, conditions, wages and pensions, RMT has no choice but to protect our members,” the rail, maritime and transport trade union RMT said on its official website.

Previously, union members held negotiations with employers, in which they tried to influence the policy of companies in which it is planned to reduce a certain number of workers, as well as reduce wages in the face of rising inflation, but they did not translate into a positive result.

After that, it was decided to start a strike.

RIA Novosti predicts that disruptions in the work of the railway due to strikes will last six days, which will affect millions of people.

On June 22, 24 and 26, traffic difficulties are also possible due to the lack of time after the strike to restore railway traffic.
