A young man exploits his co-worker and seizes 8,500 dirhams

A young man borrowed 8,500 dirhams from his co-worker, and evaded payment, and the Abu Dhabi Court for Family and Civil and Administrative Claims ruled to oblige the young man to return the amount.

In detail, a girl filed a lawsuit, asking her co-worker to return the 8,500 dirhams he borrowed from her, and obliging him to pay her 2,000 dirhams in compensation, explaining that he went through financial hardship, so she loaned him 8,500 dirhams, through a bank transfer.

The plaintiff indicated that the young man set a date for her to return the amount, but he delayed the payment, and evaded responding to her calls, while the young man admitted to borrowing the amount, and asked for a deadline for reconciliation and payment of the amount. The young man did not review it or communicate with it for the purposes of settlement and reconciliation.

The court confirmed in the merits of the ruling that it was evident from the papers that the young man had admitted receiving 8,500 dirhams from the plaintiff, and requested a time limit to pay this amount and settlement, and failed to appear, which proves to the court the validity of what the plaintiff claims, and the court ruled obligating the defendant to pay the plaintiff 8,500 dirhams, And obligated him to pay the fees and expenses of the lawsuit.
