A man was arrested by the gendarmes and placed in police custody on Sunday in Plouescat (Finistère), during the second round of the legislative elections.

The sexagenarian, alcoholic, went several times to the town hall where the voting booths were installed, reports

.

The mayor, Éric Le Bour, preferred to alert the military to prevent the man from disrupting the vote.

He refuses to show his ID

According to the first city councilor, his constituent would not have appreciated having to present an identity document to vote.

He didn't want to be controlled by another citizen.

However, article L62 of the Electoral Code imposes this approach, as recalled by the mayor who nevertheless agreed to carry out a report with the sixty-year-old.

In total, the man presented himself four times at the polling station, the last of which just before closing, indicates Ouest France.

He did not want to leave the premises and was eventually arrested by the gendarmes.
