The Democratic Party of Korea has made a decision to suspend party membership for six months for Rep. Choi Kang-wook, who has been controversial for 'sexual harassment remarks'.

The Democratic Ethics Tribunal held a meeting on the afternoon of the 20th and announced that it made this decision.

Kim Hoe-jae, chairman of the Democratic Party's legal committee and ethics judge, said in a briefing after the meeting, "Rep. Choi made inappropriate remarks about sexual harassment in the presence of female aides at an online meeting of the Judiciary Committee. We considered the fact that this case had a huge impact inside and outside the party, and that the non-submission committee applied ex officio to the Ethics Tribunal of the Central Party in consideration of the seriousness of the matter,” he said.
