Around 3,500 participants pursued questions about God and the world at a youth church conference organized by the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN).

After the final church service on Sunday in Gernsheim (Groß-Gerau district), EKHN President Volker Jung spoke of a “unique hands-on experience” in a shared faith experience.

The motto "Today.

Together.

For tomorrow!” has gained in importance in the shadow of the war in Ukraine, explained the EKHN.

Between the more than 300 items on the program since Thursday there was space for minutes of silence and prayers.

In view of the high temperatures at the weekend, many participants also wanted to have fun in the swimming pool.

The youth church convention of the EKHN has been taking place since 2002.

The target group are young people between the ages of 13 and 27.

The next Jugendkirchentag begins on May 30, 2024 in Biedenkopf.
