The industry organization Visita sees that the hospitality and tourism industry outside Sweden's big cities is recovering faster than in the big cities.
Especially in areas where there are interesting destinations that attract domestic travelers.
For example, Norrköping with Kolmården's zoo or Vimmerby with Astrid Lindgren's world.
Has hit its peak from 2019
SVT Nyheter has been in contact with several inns and roadside taverns in northern Kalmar County and southeastern Östergötland that testify to a strong season.
One of these is Tindered country kitchen, along the E22 north of Västervik and on the border with Östergötland.
- In 2019 we had a peak, but we have already beaten it this year, says Annette Hjalmarsson, owner of Tindered country kitchen.
