Between the diverse left and the Nupes left, the voters of the 20th arrondissement chose the union of the left.
Widely favorite for the second round in the 15th constituency of Paris against Lamia El-Aaraje, socialist candidate, the Insoumise Danielle Simonnet (Nupes) was elected with more than 58% of the vote, against 41.5% for her rival.
Already in the first round of the legislative elections, Lamia El-Aaraje was well ahead of Danielle Simonnet: 47.3% of the vote against 17.8% for the outgoing deputy.
As for the presidential majority candidate, Mohamad Gassama, he came third with 15.8% of the vote.
