The Spanish Conservatives have won a historic election victory in Andalusia.

The PP won the absolute majority in the regional elections in the former socialist stronghold, more than doubling the number of MPs.

The right-wing populist Vox party, which began its political triumph in Spain in Andalusia in 2018, became the third strongest party, but grew less than polls had expected.

The socialist PSOE party and the two smaller left parties together have significantly fewer seats than the victorious PP.
