Japanese whiskey was auctioned in the United States and sold at a high price of 600,000 dollars per bottle, exceeding 80 million yen in Japanese yen.

Suntory Spirits' single malt whiskey "Yamazaki 55 years" was put up for auction at Sotheby's, a major American auction company. It was sold at a high price of 100,000 to 200,000 dollars higher than expected.

"Yamazaki 55 Years" is a single malt whiskey that is a blend of multiple raw liquors that have been aged for over 55 years.

Due to its long aging period and high scarcity value, Sotheby's website states that it "reigns at the top of Japanese whiskey as the most valuable bottle in Japanese history."

While the demand for Japanese whiskey is increasing worldwide, there are many cases where it is traded at a high price due to a shortage of raw sake, and whiskey made in Saitama prefecture three years ago was auctioned in Hong Kong. A set of 54 pieces has been sold for about 100 million yen in Japanese yen.
