A time disqualified for having hindered one of his opponents in the last meters, Robert was finally reclassified.

This time is synonymous with a new personal record very clearly lowered for the 24-year-old athlete, who for two years had been around 1 min 44 sec and a half.

Only Briton Max Burgin (1:43.52) and Moroccan Moad Zahafi (1:43.69) have run faster than him this season.

Also at the start of the 800m, Gabriel Tual finally finished fourth in 1 min 44 sec 23/100, a new personal best, and Pierre-Ambroise Bosse sixth in 1 min 44 sec 54/100, his best time of the season and minima for the World Championships in Eugene (United States) at the same time successful.

Robert, eliminated in the series of the Olympic Games last summer, and Tual have already validated the level of performance requested by the French Athletics Federation to participate in the Eugene Worlds in a month (July 15-24).

In the pole vault, Renaud Lavillenie took second place with 5.80m cleared on the second attempt, behind the Belgian Ben Broeders, who passed the same bar on his first attempt.

Thibaut Collet, who stopped at 5.75m, finished third.
