• Brice Louge, a 30-year-old agricultural worker, residing in a small village at the foot of the Pyrenees, has not given any sign of life for four months.

  • Before his cell phone went out, he was caught in the act of adultery in his boss's bed.

  • A judicial investigation for "worrying disappearance" was opened and this Friday the gendarmes carried out new investigations in the sector.

His phone stopped broadcasting, his car was never found and no banking activity was detected.

It has now been four months since the disappearance of Brice Louge, a 30-year-old agricultural worker, has been worrying his family, resisting investigations and keeping the inhabitants of Labarthe-Rivière, a village located at the foot of the Pyrenees, a hundred kilometers from Toulouse.

It took place in very special circumstances since the last time this shy and introverted thirty-something was seen, he was surprised in full adultery in the bed of his boss by the latter's son.

The episode dates back to the night of February 19 to 20, 2022. "We quickly lost track of him in a fairly short time", underlines Christophe Amunzateguy, the public prosecutor of Saint-Gaudens, while this Friday the gendarmes led new investigations, which remained fruitless, at Labarthe-Rivière.

The magistrate opened a judicial investigation for "worrying disappearance", not for homicide.

“There are a lot of fantasies around this disappearance because there is a story of adultery, he insists.

No track is favored at this stage.

Let's not get carried away on the criminal thesis, we have no element supporting this hypothesis ”.

Hunts and polls came to nothing

His parents, however, “fear the worst.

It is torture for them.

They rule out voluntary disappearance.

He was a homebody, he lived with his parents.

If he had left on his own, he would have warned them, ”explains their lawyer Camille Lauga.

“If it was a suicide or an accident, we would have found the car,” adds Joris Morer, the other lawyer for the parents, who reported their son missing on February 20.

The gendarmes of the Saint-Gaudens research brigade and the Toulouse research section are in charge of the investigation.

After the disappearance of the young man, his hunter friends took part in the hunts around the village.

“Many rivers and lakes have been surveyed, the gendarmerie has deployed large resources: helicopter overflights, divers and sonars”, details the prosecutor.

But so far, no trace of this nature enthusiast has been found.
