• The historic stronghold of the LRs is still losing votes with these legislative elections.

  • New challenges for the presidential majority but especially for the National Rally which is gaining ground.

  • The results of two outgoing deputies will be closely followed: Eric Ciotti, for LR, and Marine Brenier, ex LR and now LREM.

In the Alpes-Maritimes department, five of the nine districts are part of the Nice metropolis.

In only two of these five territories, the party Les Républicains, historically established, will be present, facing candidates from the presidential majority which is, for its part, in each duel for these legislative elections.

Analysis of the issues by constituency.

Match point in the center of Nice, in the 1st district

In the first constituency, which includes Nice, Eric Ciotti arrived in first position on Sunday with 31.7% of the vote but lost 4 points compared to 2017. He is ahead of Graig Monetti (25.92%), from the presidential majority and supported by Christian Estrosi.

Will the outgoing MP manage to validate a fourth term?

Facing him, Graig Monetti hopes to seduce the electorate of Nupes, who came in third place with 20.42% of the vote.

Eric Ciotti, meanwhile, can count on the support of Philippe Vardon, candidate eliminated from Reconquête!, and ex-RN, from the 3rd constituency, as well as that of Eric Zemmour, who had not presented a candidate in this territory.

The National Rally is gaining ground in the 2nd

Outgoing deputy Loïc Dombreval d'Ensemble!

won 23.67% of the vote, just behind Lionel Tivoli of the National Rally (23.9%) in the 2nd constituency.

Only 92 votes separated them for this first round.

A hope of victory for the party of Marine Le Pen?

In 2017, the presidential majority candidate obtained 35.34% of the votes in the first round, ahead of Jérôme Cochet of the National Front, former name of the RN.

In the second round, the latter still obtained 40% of the vote, 20 points more than in 2017 for a candidate from the same party.

The only Nupes candidate in the department still in contention in the 3rd

Enzo Giusti created the surprise by being the only Nupes candidate qualified in the second round in the department.

In the 3rd constituency, he obtained 21.95% of the vote, behind Philippe Pradal (26.04%), candidate of the presidential majority.

Another surprise (or not), Philippe Vardon arrived in 5th position for Reconquête!

when he was in the second round five years ago against Cédric Roussel, the outgoing deputy who did not have the support of his party (LREM) and who withdrew his candidacy.

Ex-LR versus LR in the 5th

Outgoing MP Marine Brenier, recently moved from LR to Horizons, came out on top (26.14% of the vote) in the 5th constituency against LR candidate Christelle D'Intorni (22.48%).

Third place was tight between Frank Khalifa of the RN (19%) and Philippe Benassaya of the Nupes (17.73%).

These two candidates do not give any voting instructions to their voters for the second round.

The 6th less for the LR party

The outgoing LR deputy for the sixth constituency Laurence Trastour-Isnart was eliminated (20.18% of the vote).

The duel will then be between the candidate of Ensemble!, Jean-Bernard Mion (22.99% of the votes) and Bryan Masson of the RN, in the lead with 25.32% of the votes.

His party gained nearly five points from the 2017 legislative elections.
