“Over the past decades, new powerful centers have been formed on the planet and are louder and louder declaring themselves, each of them develops its own political systems and public institutions, implements its own models of economic growth and, of course, has the right to protect them, to ensure national sovereignty,” — he said at the plenary session at the SPIEF.
Putin added that revolutionary and tectonic changes are taking place in global politics, economics, technology, as well as in the entire system of international relations.
The Russian leader also said that confidence in world currencies has been undermined by Western countries for the sake of ambitions and outdated geopolitical illusions.
