I do not feel safe.” With these words, the American activist “Cala Walsh” expressed her dissatisfaction with the repeated harassment that occurs to her in the work environment because of her position in support of the Palestinian cause.

Walsh - a volunteer in the boycott of Israel movement - tweeted, "I no longer feel safe with my work because the Zionists are harassing my employer, because of my pro-Palestine activism."

And the agency "Sanad" for monitoring and news verification contacted the American activist, to find out the details of the threats she was exposed to, and Walsh said, "My activism towards the Palestinian cause began when I was 15 years old, and the first time I received a death threat in my life was last year, when I participated in the US Senator Edward Markey's call to intervene to stop Israel's aggression on Gaza."

I don't feel safe at work anymore because Zionists are harassing my employer about my pro-Palestine work.

I'm literally a teenager who works in customer service.

Because of death threats from Zionists, I'm getting a week of PTO from work

Thank you for all the support 💜

None of this compares to the violence the occupation inflicts on Palestinians daily.

In the imperial core, it is the least we can do to risk our safety to fight back

Kala Walsh participated in a local initiative in Boston, Massachusetts, which was launched by a number of activists to identify the names and addresses of personalities and institutions supporting Israel in the city, known as the "Map Project Initiative".

"After I took part in this initiative, the threats to me have taken on a much more serious level," Walsh said.

She added, "All the threats that I face on a daily basis are not comparable in any way to the tragedy and violence experienced by the Palestinian people under the Israeli occupation, which attacks and secures impunity, and kills women, children and journalists, such as Al-Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Aqa."

According to Palestine Legal, organizations and initiatives calling for a boycott of Israel in the United States, such as the BDS movement, have been criminalized in more than one US state by 2020.

Walsh commented on this matter by saying that "laws are neither principles nor morals, I do not care if boycotting Israel is a criminal act, especially since the indigenous rights movements in America were criminalized, and the liberation movements from apartheid in South Africa were once criminal."

American support

In her speech, the American activist referred to the American support for Israel, saying, "Israel receives approximately 10 million dollars a day from America, and without this support, the Israeli occupation would not exist until now."

Walsh added, "America does not respect the rights of the Palestinians and supports Israel, because its presence is important to achieving the goals of US imperialism's control of the Middle East."

Walsh concluded her speech with a message saying, "The Israeli occupation steals American taxpayers' money to kill children, and the struggle for the Palestinian cause is a must in the face of imperialism and the control of capital, so we must all follow in the footsteps of the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation."

The case of Kala Walsh - which she raised in the wake of threats and harassment from supporters of Israel - was met with a wide interaction on Twitter, and opinions were divided between supporters and opponents of the position of the American activist.

Activist Fatima Kern commented in a message of solidarity with Wallach, saying, "I am sad for you, these narcissistic and socially arrogant people who support genocidal colonists would rather literally burn the world down than just coexist with others."

On the other hand, Walsh was criticized and attacked by supporters of the Israeli occupation, according to activist Malina Saval, "You are not pro-Palestine, you are anti-Semitic. They are not and never will be the same."

Saval added that "endangering the lives of Jews because of the "map project" that targets the places where Jews live in Boston does not help the Palestinian cause, you are a teenager and a miserable ignorant person."

I'm sorry.

These are sociopaths who support literal genocidal colonizers.

They would rather literally burn down the world than fairly coexist with other people.

She's not pro-Palestine.

She's Antisemitic.

They are not and never will be the same.

Putting the lives of Jews in danger vis a vis “a mapping project” targeting where Jews live in Boston does not help the Palestinian cause.

She is a teen, yes.

One that is woefully ignorant.

You made a map threatening Jewish and other public institutions and now YOU want us to feel your pain!?!

How about realizing that the real@work@is pro-Israel AND pro-Palestine.

No one is going away, and we will only succeed together.
