The luncheon was also attended by the late Sgt Cho Eung-seong, who was found and recovered at Baekma Hill in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) last October, and the family of the late Private Kim Jong-sul, who was recovered 10 years ago in Pohang and whose identity was confirmed in May of this year. invited.

President Yoon gave a message to the children of the late Lim Bu-taek and Choi Yong-nam, who were awarded the Taegeuk Order of Military Service as heroes of the Korean War, and to the spouse of the late Inspector Lee Jong-woo, who died during the rescue work and lifesaving at Uiam Lake Sucho Island in 2020. A plaque of national merit was awarded.

This is the first time the president has personally delivered a nameplate.
