"Human Resources and Emiratisation" stresses the importance of adhering to the wage protection system

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation called on employers to commit to paying workers’ wages on their due dates, as agreed upon in the work contract, through the wage protection system, which contributes to increasing workers’ productivity and stabilizing the contractual relationship between its two parties. 

The Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection Affairs in the Ministry, Mohsen Al-Nassi, explained that the obligation of employers to pay wages in accordance with the legislation regulating labor relations would contribute significantly to building balanced and stable relations between the two parties to this relationship, which is governed by the law regulating labor relations and its executive regulations and ministerial decisions. .

He said that the mechanism of action of the wage protection system enables employers to fulfill their obligations towards their workers in the easiest and easiest way through a strategic partnership with the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.

He added that the worker's obtaining his wages is one of the rights that the employer must abide by, as he is considered late in paying the wages if he does not pay it to the worker within the first fifteen days of the due date, unless it is stipulated in the work contract for a shorter period.

Al-Nassi stressed the application of administrative procedures against establishments that did not adjust their conditions during the past period in accordance with what is required of them, according to the periods of delay in payment, the size of the facility, and the number and percentage of workers who did not receive their wages. 

He praised the employers who are committed to paying wages according to what is required of them, pointing out that this commitment confirms awareness of the positive impact of adherence to the law, and its repercussions on the facility, especially in terms of increasing productivity.
