In connection with the arrest, which occurred in mid-May last year, the man threatened the police both verbally and with beatings, such as a chainsaw and a baton.

The verbal threats are, among other things, about the chainsaw being one of the most dangerous tools.

Sawed his way through the front door

During the arrest, the man must have used the chainsaw to saw his way through his front door from the inside with the police standing on the opposite side.

During questioning, the man states that the sawing must have been to keep the police outside his home.

The sentence: Imprisonment for over a year

The crimes for which the man was to be arrested were unlawful threats, attempted extortion, vandalism and assault in court.

The man had before the trial denied that he had threatened or tried to harm the police.

He has now been sentenced to one year and four months in prison for the crimes.
