The DPR suggested that Assad consider the participation of Syria in the tribunal over the Ukrainian security forces

“The minister invited Mr. Assad to consider the possibility of the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic in the international tribunal against representatives of the Ukrainian armed groups who are accused of committing crimes against the inhabitants of Donbass,” the department’s Telegram channel says.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said earlier that the rumors about the possible recognition of the DPR by Syria are not unfounded.

LPR Ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said that negotiations are currently underway with Syria, Venezuela and a number of other countries on the recognition of the Luhansk People's Republic.
