8,700 km range

The A321 XLR gives new impetus to civil aviation.

Capable of carrying 250 passengers, the single-aisle twin-engine aircraft can perform very long-distance flights, when the range of the classic A320 is below 5,000 km.

The A321 XLR is capable of flying more than 10 hours and promises a range of up to 8,700 km.

“The A321XLR will open up new routes with unbeatable economic and environmental performance,” said Philippe Mhun, Airbus Programs and Services Director.

Scheduled for the end of 2023, the launch of this new aircraft has been delayed.

Certified this Friday, June 17 in Toulouse, it will be offered to airlines from 2024.
