Stoltenberg: NATO will supply weapons to Ukraine, despite Russian strikes on cargo

“Our moral obligation is to provide support,” said the head of the military bloc, quoted by TASS.

He acknowledged that Russia is "trying to attack arms shipments."

“However, this is not a reason for me to stop providing assistance, because Ukraine is fighting a just war, defending itself,” Stoltenberg said.

He added that Ukraine "does not pose any threat to Russia."

In early May, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu warned that NATO vehicles arriving in Ukraine carrying weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian troops would be destroyed.
