• Courts The surgeon who operated on Silvia, the young woman in a coma since May, declares that the intervention was "perfect"

  • Events Hospital La Paz, committed to saving a young woman in a coma days after cosmetic surgery in a private clinic

Silvia Idalia Serrano's boyfriend, the woman who remains in a coma after undergoing an aesthetic operation in April, has highlighted the serious injuries she suffers, with "

30% of her body raw

" and has asked the Prosecutor's Office to help them to ensure the interests of the affected.

The head of the Court of Instruction number 46 of Madrid has taken a statement this Thursday as a witness to Daniel Poyato, Silvia's boyfriend, the young woman operated on April 29 by the CEME clinic, after which she was discharged but had an infection which

led to his admission to the La Paz hospital ICU on May 6, where he remains in an induced coma.

The magistrate was also going to take a statement from a worker at the CEME clinic, but

she has not appeared

because, as explained by Silvia's family's lawyer, despite the summons being served correctly, the clinic refused it.

This worker is expected to finally testify on the 21st together with Rafael de Tena, manager of the clinic, and a direct witness from the medical center where she was treated when she felt unwell and from which she was finally transferred by La Paz ambulance.

The boyfriend has explained to the press that he has told the judge everything he knows about the situation in which Silvia was, and has appealed to the Prosecutor's Office, with which he plans to request a hearing, "so that they help us and that there is a prosecutor to watch over Silvia Idalia's interests in this matter, which is important", since she has not responded to the statements that have been made.

"

And it's not just for Silvia Idalia, it's for the rest of the people who want to undergo surgery in the future

," he said.

He has highlighted that there was

medical negligence or a possible abandonment in the health care that his partner should have received

, who suffered a very powerful infection and for four days had symptoms of it such as severe pain, colic, vomiting, fever and shortness of breath. .

But the doctors she went to didn't see it.

"Now she is devoured, and I make it extensive and public so that society does not think that she is in an induced coma, like a sleeping beauty and she will wake up...

30% of her body is raw

, it is extremely serious, and still We have not talked about possible amputations of fingers, limbs," he added.

For her part, the lawyer for Silvia's family, Mar de la Loma, has stressed that "it

would be desirable for the prosecutor to be in a case like this, especially when the victim is in the ICU and cannot testify

", since the Public Ministry "is the guarantor and representative of the rights of citizens."

She has specified that Silvia

was not treated properly

because, for example, on the first night she was admitted, she herself noticed that the drippers were not working well.

Regarding the reports on Silvia that the judge requested from the CEME clinic on June 3 -such as her clinical history, the complete report of the operation or the result of the preoperative tests-, the lawyer has stressed that they are still waiting for them .
