A cyclist in her fifties was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Monday in Annecy (Haute-Savoie).

The shock occurred around 11:35 a.m. on Avenue de Brogny, a few dozen meters after leaving the Lycée Berthollet roundabout.

According to the first elements of the investigators, the car, driven by a 36-year-old woman, and the rear wheel of the victim's bicycle collided.

Hospitalized in critical condition

The cyclist was thrown and fell heavily.

She was medicalized on the spot for several tens of minutes before being taken to hospital.

His vital prognosis was engaged at the time of his evacuation.

On Wednesday, the 50-year-old was still in critical condition.
