The 32-year-old woman arrested in Bigastro (Alicante) after

the death of her 27-month-old son

has been accused of killing the minor and exercising continued mistreatment of him, as well as injuring the

As reported by the armed institute, the woman alerted around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday the 11th of an

alleged domestic accident

in which one of her children had hit his head on the table and lost consciousness, but upon arrival of the

, contradictions were found between the mother's statement and the evidence observed.

Upon the arrival of the

health services

and Civil Guard agents, the health personnel tried to revive the little boy, but his death was certified just 20 minutes later.

After a first study carried out by the

Forensic Doctor

, at 1:15 a.m. the body of the child was lifted and he was transferred to

the General Hospital of Alicante

for a medical examination and, later, to the Institute of Legal Medicine to perform an autopsy. .

Bad treatments

After obtaining various indications that the event was the result of an

episode of continued mistreatment in the family, on Monday the 13th the

Judicial Police

Team

of Guardamar de Segura arrested the mother of the minors.

Once various tests have been carried out, it has been verified that

the body of the deceased minor

had the aftermath of numerous injuries suffered on different dates, many of them prior, some

the day before his death

, and others even on Saturday.

The

other brother , who had already been in the

custody of the only relative

with whom they had contact since dawn on Saturday

, was transferred to the General Hospital of Alicante on the 13th for a detailed study of

the injuries

that he also presented.

Sources familiar with the case have explained that the woman, who according to residents of the municipality

did not have a job or profile of a violent person

, is the mother of three children, one older and two twins,

one of whom has died

.

The detainee, an Albanian national and who, despite not having a record,

had had the custody

of the two minors withdrawn due to drug addiction, will be placed this Wednesday

at the disposal of the Investigating Court

number 2 of Orihuela.
