China News Service, Beijing, June 15 (Reporter Guo Chaokai) Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin hosted a regular press conference on the 15th.

A reporter asked: On June 14, at the 50th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Cuba made a joint speech on behalf of nearly 70 countries, supporting China's position on issues related to Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Tibet, and opposing the use of human rights as an excuse to interfere in China's internal affairs.

What is China's comment?

Wang Wenbin: On June 14, at the 50th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Cuba made a joint speech on behalf of nearly 70 countries, pointing out that Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Tibet affairs are China's internal affairs, and opposes the politicization of human rights issues and double standards. Interfering in China's internal affairs under the pretext of human rights, advocates that all parties abide by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, respect the right of people of all countries to choose their own development paths according to their national conditions, and stress that the international community should adhere to multilateralism, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and jointly respond to global challenges and promote World peace and development, promotion and protection of human rights.

Dozens of other countries have expressed or are planning to express their support for China's legitimate position through separate speeches or joint letters.

There is an old saying in China, "Virtue is not alone, there must be neighbors".

Nearly 100 countries have once again voiced their voices of justice in the Human Rights Council, and a few Western countries' attempts to attack and smear China on Xinjiang-related, Hong Kong-related, and Tibet-related issues have gone bankrupt again.

This fully shows that the use of human rights issues to engage in political manipulation and interference in other countries' internal affairs is unpopular and will never succeed.

A small number of Western countries have repeatedly repeated lies and rumors in frustration, further exposing their political plots and sinister intentions.

No matter how they perform, they cannot stop the firm pace of the Chinese people's development and progress.

China is unswerving in its determination to safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests.

There is an idiom in China called thieves call to catch thieves.

Facts have proved that it is these few Western countries that truly ignore and trample human rights.

They turn a blind eye to their own serious human rights problems and pretend to be deaf, but they point fingers at other countries and are keen to act as "master teachers".

They have frequently launched wars of aggression, killing nearly one million people and displacing tens of millions of people. They have become the biggest creator of human rights tragedies in the world.

We urge these Western countries to put away your hypocrisy, arrogance and prejudice, and stop using the so-called human rights issue to interfere in other countries' internal affairs and curb their development.

Gone are the days when you rode on the head of the vast developing world to be bossy.
