It has not always been easy to get the town hall of Marseille and the metropolis of Aix-Marseille to work together.
We remember in particular the episode of the garbage collection strike, at the end of which the mayor of Marseille, Benoît Payan (PS) had demanded the recovery of this competence from the president of the metropolis, Martine Vassal (ex-LR) .
However, relations seem to be normalizing lately, particularly thanks to the Marseille plan, for which the President of the Republic has asked that the two parties work in harmony.
A new gesture in this direction has just been made by Martine Vassal who proposed this Wednesday to Benoît Payan to become vice-president of the metropolis.
