“In order to ensure the food security of Kazakhstan, the interdepartmental commission on foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations decided to prolong restrictive measures until September 30 for exports to third countries and the EAEU countries of wheat and meslin in the amount of 550 thousand tons and flour to third countries wheat and wheat-rye in the amount of 370 thousand tons,” the press service of the department said in a statement.

In March, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development reported that the customs subcommittee approved the introduction of a ban on the export of grain crops from Russia to the EAEU countries until the end of August.

Such a proposal came from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, and the decision of the subcommittee was approved by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.
