Biden is considering options for several Ukrainian grain exports

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced, on Wednesday, that President Joe Biden is considering a range of options to get grain out of Ukraine, after its export process has been disrupted by the current war.

"The president is looking at a range of options here to try and see if we can get the grain to market," Kirby said during a news conference. "This is hard work, it's not going to be easy."

On Tuesday, the US President announced a plan to export grain outside Ukrainian territory, by building temporary silos on the borders, including with Poland, and then transporting it to the world.

The United Nations warns that there is a threat of a food crisis due to a shortage of grain exported from Ukraine.

The West accused Russia of obstructing the export of Ukrainian grain to world markets as a result of the special military operation it has been carrying out in Ukraine since February.

Moscow categorically rejected such accusations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no problems with the export of grain from Ukraine, and that Russia is not interfering in this.

He added that if Ukraine removed mines from the ports, the ships laden with grain would be able to leave without any problems.
