A scene of Kim Jong-un protecting the death of Hyeon Chol-hae, who was in charge of his succession education, was released through North Korean media.

On the 12th, Chosun Central TV aired the 1 hour and 15 minute documentary film 'Near the Sun', which tells the life of Hyeon Chul-hae, a general adviser to the Ministry of National Defense.

The documentary shows Kim Jong-un watching the last moments of Hyeon-cheol-hae in a hospital room and crying while looking at his photos.

There is also a screen showing that Hyeon Chul-hae's heart stopped beating, and his family was sobbing after entering the hospital room after he died.

The documentary film said that Kim Jong-un "confirmed (Hyeon Chol-hae's death) over and over, but could not admit it", and emphasized that he overcame "the pain of losing his comrade Hyeon-cheol-hae alone".

It is rare for North Korea to make a separate documentary film about the lives of people other than its supreme leader.

The documentary highlighted the fact that Hyeon Chol-hae was a faithful executive for three generations, from Kim Il-sung to Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un, and that he had a special relationship with Kim Jong-un.

The contents of a handwritten letter exchanged between Hyun Chul-hae and Kim Jong-un were also revealed.

In the letter, Hyeon Chol-hae said, "I sincerely wish for this Hyeon-cheol-hae, who cannot live even for an hour a day without (Kim Jong-un) supreme commander comrade."

To this, Kim Jong-un replied in a handwritten letter, "Lee Jeong-eun never forgot comrade Hyeon-cheol-hae for even a single day.

The reason North Korea made and released this documentary is interpreted as an attempt to promote Kim Jong-un's special courtesy to elders loyal to the party.

It is analyzed that this is an attempt to induce the loyalty of the North Korean people to the party and highlight Kim Jong-un's humanity.
