It was during Monday afternoon that the police were alerted to Norrköping's campsite.
Seven people aged 15 were found injured at the scene, all of whom were taken to hospital with injuries of varying degrees.
Later in the evening, the police were able to confirm that one of the injured had died.
The deceased was a student at Klingsborgsskolan and due to the tragic accident, the school is working to organize crisis support together with student health.
- It is an incredibly sad event and our thoughts go to the victims, relatives and relatives.
We know that many students and staff are sad and it is important that we do what we can to meet and capture thoughts and feelings, says Sofie Lindén, director of education.
On Tuesday, the school is open to students who need to meet and receive support, and during the morning, young people have left flowers in the school hall.
The students involved came from four different schools in Norrköping.
