On June 13, Taiwan reported 5 new cases of imported Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5 infections.

  The Taiwanese authorities' Epidemic Epidemic Command Center announced on the 13th that Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants were detected in imported cases last week. The confirmed cases were 4 males and 1 female, and 4 were detected. Cases with the BA.5 variant were imported from the United States, Turkey, and Poland, and one case in which the BA.4 variant was detected was imported from Chile.

  Taiwan reported 45,110 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia on the 13th, including 45,081 local cases and 29 imported cases; 109 new deaths were added, and the dead patients were in their 40s and 90s.
