“The Ukrainian side requested the organization of a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of civilians (women, children and the elderly) located at the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk to the territory controlled by Kyiv in the city of Lisichansk,” said the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev.

Earlier, LPR Ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said that at least 300 Ukrainian soldiers were blocked at the Azot plant in Severodonetsk.

According to him, up to 500 civilians can also remain there, who were hiding from shelling in the plant's bomb shelter.
