The President's Office is planning to decide on a new name for the Yongsan Presidential Office on the afternoon of the 14th.
An official from the presidential office said at a briefing on the same day that a meeting of the Presidential Office Name Committee, which deliberates and selects a new name for the Oval Office, will be held in the afternoon.
Regarding the possibility of another office name being decided in addition to the existing five candidates such as 'People's House', 'People's Government Complex', 'Mineum Government Complex', 'Barunnuri', and 'Itaewon-ro 22', he said, "In fact, including all the processes, We are going to make a decision at the meeting,” he said.
Regarding the fact that President Yoon made a comment at a luncheon with the leadership of the People's Power Party on the 10th that he did not like all the names he conspired with, he said, "The name is so important that I will consider various options. I think you said it in the sense that there is nothing better,” the official explained.
The official said, "Now, the meeting will review what has been done so far and hear a lot of public opinion, and I think I've heard opinions from various experts," he said.
The official said, "Over the past month, the area around Yongsan has been very cleaned up, and the interior of the building has also been repaired, so it is slowly stabilizing."
The presidential office conducted an online preference survey of the public for five nominations from the 3rd to the 9th, and it is known that the National Government Complex and 22 Itaewon-ro took the top spot.
