The news that additional people have now been arrested comes two months after the riots that took place in several places around Sweden during the Easter weekend.

The riots took place in connection with the right-wing extremist politician Rasmus Paludan's demonstrations, where he was to burn the Koran.

A total of 15 people are now in custody after the riot in Örebro.

The police state on their website that they have a "continued good investigation situation and continue to work to identify more people who participated in the riot in Sveaparken".

- We will continue to arrest and prosecute these individuals as the investigation work progresses, says Emelie Bodegrim, Commander-in-Chief of the Bergslagen Police Region in a press release.



The last day for the arrest petition is now on Thursday 16 June.
